MEET DR. FU PLASTIC SURGEON IN PALM DESERT, CA
After graduation from UCLA with College Honors, Dr. Fu attended medical school at St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri. She went on to complete a General Surgery residency at the University of California, San Francisco-Fresno, which was followed by an additional three-year residency in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Texas in Houston. Here she honed her skills in the entire spectrum of plastic surgery, including breast reconstruction and cosmetic surgery. Dr. Fu developed a special interest in Hand & Microsurgery, and has completed fellowship training at the Buncke Clinic in San Francisco, California, one of the premier centers for hand surgery and replantation in the country, as well as at the Christine M. Kleinert Institute for Hand & Microsurgery affiliated with the University of Louisville, a program with a longstanding tradition of training surgeons from all over the world and where the nation’s first hand transplant was performed.
Dr. Fu returned to California after her extensive training due to a desire to be close to family. She has admitting privileges at both Desert Regional Medical Center and Eisenhower Medical Center.
