WHAT IS A FACELIFT?
A facelift is a surgical procedure that diminishes fine lines and wrinkles and removes excess skin from around the eyes and jawline to give the face a more rested and youthful appearance. It addresses problems such as:

WHAT IS A MINI FACELIFT?
A mini facelift is a less extensive facelift procedure that offers more subtle rejuvenation benefits. It involves smaller incisions, which means a shorter recovery and less scarring for patients. The mini facelift targets the mid-face area, specifically around the cheeks and jowls. It can also help with sagging skin in the neck. The mini facelift procedure is designed to be a less invasive alternative to the full facelift, so it is rarely combined with other procedures.
WHAT IS THE FACELIFT PROCEDURE LIKE?
During the facelift procedure, Dr. Eko lifts the skin to access the underlying facial structures. These underlying supporting facial structures are then repositioned and tightened to produce a more rested and youthful appearance. Upon closing the wounds, excess skin is also removed to produce a smooth and attractive appearance to the face. During the surgery, incisions are made around the ears and in the hairline. Additional incisions may be placed under the chin to improve the appearance of the jawline and neck or to also achieve a simultaneous neck lift. A facelift procedure usually takes a few hours to complete, depending on the number of additional procedures being performed at the same time.
WHAT IS THE RECOVERY LIKE AFTER A FACELIFT?
After a facelift, some patients experience mild to moderate amounts of temporary bruising, swelling, and discomfort. These symptoms will usually resolve within a few weeks, although some minor symptoms may persist for a few months. The initial recovery period lasts about two weeks, during which time patients are encouraged to take as much time off of work and other activities as possible to ensure a smooth recovery.
ARE THE RESULTS FROM A FACELIFT PERMANENT?
The results of a real facelift, as performed by Dr. Eko, are incredibly long-lasting, with most patients enjoying their results for as long as 15 years. Unfortunately, the results from a facelift cannot be permanent because it is impossible to stop the natural aging process. Although a facelift produces a more youthful appearance to the face that lasts several years, patients gradually develop signs of facial aging as time goes by; sometimes requiring a repeat procedure a decade or two later.
